Hymn No. 36:

Equation of Salvation

Origin: DSDA Kenya Division

Rod Quotation: TN3: 99.1

Tune Origin: SDAH 206

♦-1-♦
The equation of Salvation,
Starting from the fall of man,
Wholly spans seven thousand years,
To the time of redemption.

Seven thousand years equals to,
One week in Eternity,
From the sinning of the first two,
To when sin shall no more be.

♦-2-♦
The Equation of Probation,
Sums up to six thousand years,
From creation to the time when,
There is close of probation.

God’s great wisdom working in style,
Formed the plan of redemption,
Giving man another trial,
Thus the second probation.

♦-3-♦
From the time of man’s creation,
To the time he fell in sin,
Five score and one point eight five years,
Were his Eden duration.

Precious is the Spirit of Truth,
Unrolling the scroll to us,
What a priceless gift divine, strewth!
Praise and glory to Jesus.

♦-4-♦
When probation end shall arrive,
From the fall of man in sin,
Takes five thousand eight hundred years,
Ninety-eight point one and five.

O may this realization,
Stir the heart for songs of praises,
Unto Him for adoration,
The Desire of all Ages.

Thus thrillingly unfolded in number, the absolute mode of truth, is the equation of salvation, out of which, just briefly to recapitulate, emerges the number of Christ as representatives of the Godhead on earth, 3; the number of the gathering time, 40; the number of the saints in the apostolic Pentecost, 120; the combined number of the saints in the Noatic and the apostolic Pentecost, 240; the number of the Bible, 5; the number of the Bible ingathering time, 600; the number of recipients of the final Pentecost, 144,000; the number of the entire period of human probation, 6,000; and finally, the number of the overall time of sin and redemption, 7,000. What priceless Gift divine! And O may this realization stir the heart of every earnest reader, as it did the heart of David, to give praise and thanksgiving to God for His inexpressible love to man: “O Lord,” sings the prophet, “Thou art my God: I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name; for Thou has done wonderful things; Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” Isa. 25:1.
