Shepherd’s Rod!
Truth that sets you free,
Study it and get the salve that you may see.

It is meant for families, what a promise!
Uniting the parents to their own children,
It will bring reformation, what a promise!
Faithfully knitting the hearts of all brethren.

We’ve a message of warning, stop and listen!
Given by the God of Lights, receive each ray,
It prepares the saints on earth, stop and listen!
For the coming of the great and dreadful day.

Any wonder, then, that the laity is in perplexity and confusion as to which voice to heed, as to which way to turn? Any wonder that in order to rescue them from their dilemma, “the Lord’s voice crieth unto the city…hear ye the rod, and Who hath appointed it”? Only the voice of the Rod can resolve the issue. “The man of wisdom” will “hear” its voice.
