SECTION B: THE HARVEST

Hymn No. 15:

Look to the Cross

Origin: DSDA Uganda Division

Rod Quotation: 1TG21:5.1-2

Tune: New

♦-1-♦
The Lord has begun, with only one man,
And is gathering Benjamin and Judah,
They’ll conquer mother church,
Ten tribes sing hosanna,
As simple means bring in the defeat of Satan.

♦-Refrain-♦
My brother… Do you have a wedding garment?
Sister… Look to the cross of Jesus,
He is… All our righteousness,
And He will… Wash us white as snow,
Then let us… Go before the throne with boldness,
Knowing… To the very end He’s with us,
If we… As the workers for this hour
Keep His commandment.

♦-2-♦
The work is mattock-like, our progress is slow,
But it will spring up into, the ox-plow stage,
All virgins who are wise,
The chariot shall manage,
And no inferior cattle will – the Lord allow.

♦-3-♦
A flesh heart you’ll get, and never sin again,
Forces of Gentiles come humbly, unto thee,
You’ll move and fall on swords,
No wound shall injure thee,
As rejoicing the second fruit – yield you obtain.

1TG21:5.1-2 Series page: SCS 364:
Though God’s servants be awake and do their work right, yet some of the members may fail to put on the wedding garment. A garment, you know, is something to put on the outside of the body. The garment, therefore, denotes a daily Christ-like deportment — the righteousness of Christ in one’s daily life… The fact that the man in the parable was speechless when asked, “Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?” shows that he was guilty of neglect, not of ignorance! He was without excuse, and he knew it.
