Hymn No. 61:

In the Kingdom

Origin: DSDA Kenya Division

Rod Quotation: 2TG3: 8.3

Tune: SDAH 524

♦-1-♦
Christ shall comfort us in our home,
After the trouble we’ve had,
In sorrow our hearts will not roam,
Grief assuaged; He’ll make us glad.

♦-Refrain-♦
In the Kingdom, full of wisdom,
Davidians how will it be,
In the Kingdom, full of wisdom,
We shall shout, it is so cheap!

♦-2-♦
Hearts of stone when in the Kingdom,
Shall be turned to hearts of flesh,
We shall sinless Christ’s will perform,
Our souls in Him we’ll refresh.

♦-3-♦
Standing with Christ on mount Zion,
Then to have a Pentecost,
And His Mighty power rely on,
Sound the Loud Cry, save the lost.

Now we see that there must be land renovation and heart operation — that God’s Kingdom begins on earth in the sight of the heathen, that it is to be as real as anything, and that there is to be neither a sinner in It, nor a stony heart in It. Is this not more appealing than the imaginary, the much spiritualized, kingdom so often heard of?
